Procedure after care
- Take all medications as prescribed including antibiotics and painkillers as needed
- No strenuous exercise for one week.
- No heavy lifting for three weeks.
- If a resurfacing procedure was performed, such as a CO2 laser, clean your skin six times a day with a 4×4 gauze soaked with cool water to gently cleanse all the scabs, and then apply petroleum jelly such as Vaseline or Aquaphor. Your skin should never be dry and be always glistening to optimize healing.
- If a resurfacing procedure was performed, the new skin should have formed after 10-12 days.
- Do not “pick at” or aggressively scrub the skin
- You can take showers with warm water without a problem.
