Lip injections
Procedure: The mouth reflects vitality and should be well rounded and clearly defined. As the face ages, the lip contour becomes less clearly defined and the roundness tends to flatten out. We can work on a few parameters to rejuvenate the lips like restoring the heart shape, cupid’s bow, clearly defining the contour of the lips, volumizing the lips, changing the shape of the commissures, erasing fine lines, and correcting uneven proportions. There is also room for patients who would like to play with the shape of their lips and obtain wider results or make them more luscious.
We can obtain optimal results in two sessions as the product needs a few weeks to set in place and we can then perform our finishing touches.
Recovery time: Swelling is usually maximal at 48-72 hours after the procedure, and lasts about a week. Icing the area intermittently for a few hours helps as well.
Risks: minimal pain at the site of injection, bruising, redness, slight headache the same or next day, cosmetic dissatisfaction, asymmetries or lumpiness, infection, scar formation, nodules or granulomas at the site of injection, a true allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid, loss of vision, tissue necrosis.
